Mandy Hay
Career Assistant

Hello! My name is Mandy Hay, and I am a senior English and Communication Studies double major at St. Catherine University.
At school, you can find me editing and writing articles and for The Wheel, singing in the St. Catherine University Women’s Choir, and working as a Career Assistant and Peer Advisor in the Career Development Center. I also work as a Leasing Consultant and trainer at my apartment building’s leasing office. My extensive work experience sets me up for success in many different industries including marketing, real estate, communications, journalism, or human relations.
In the Career Development Center, I spend most of my time working at the front desk, helping students with their resumes and cover letters, and writing alumni feature blogs. My most significant strengths are organization and written communication. Because of this, jobs such as creating calendars for the office and answering emails are my forte. I love working as a part of the Career Development team, and I am always willing and eager to answer any questions about our office and what we offer for students, whether I am sitting at the front desk or walking to class.
When I graduate in May, I am excited to go into the workforce and share my expertise with the world. I am flexible and willing to relocate somewhere that I can be active outside year-round and begin my lifestyle/travel blog.

Melody Kosbab

Hey y’all, I’m Mel, a first-year here at St. Kates. I’m majoring in Political Science/Public Policy and minoring in Professional Writing and Communications. I moved to St. Paul from Finlayson, a rural town up North. I enjoy kayaking, painting, writing, hiking, and getting Boba with my friends (also, being addicted to TikTok is a relatable hobby of mine). If you know of any good hiking trails in the area, let me know!
As a relatively new member of the Career Development team, I have mostly been scheduling appointments and answering emails. During this semester, I have been lucky enough to get trained as a peer advisor for our resume review program. I also have had lots of opportunities to stretch my creative legs making banners and posters for our website.
