Prairie Lakes Healthcare System is an independent, non-profit healthcare system serving 10 counties in northeastern South Dakota and west-central Minnesota. Our team at Prairie Lakes makes a difference in the lives of patients and their loved ones.
There are 8 or 12 hour shifts available with call on weekends where the employee must be within 20-minute response time or occupy in-house call. Monday – Friday Outpatient Pulmonary Function Testing (PFT).
Responsibilities include:
· Utilize respiratory-driven protocol
· Management for ventilator and noninvasive ventilation
· Medications delivery, Bronchial hygiene, and Volume expansion therapy
· Smoking cessation and patient education
· Arterial blood draws (ABGs), Rapid Response, Code Blue, and Trauma Teams
· Attend all cesarean sections and/or high-risk deliveries
· PFT in an outpatient setting, for Pulmonology outreach and Prairie Lakes Pulmonology Clinic Patients

Qualifications
· Must possess an Active license as a Registered Respiratory Therapist or Certified credentials through the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC)
· A degree in Respiratory Care from an accredited AMA-approved school of Respiratory Care Program, Associates or Bachelors
· Certification in the American heart association’s BLS is required. Certification in ACLS (RQI), PALS (RQI), and NRP within 6 months of hire.
· New graduates are encouraged to apply. We offer an extended orientation program for new graduates to support their comfort level in the outpatient and hospital setting.
CMS requires that health care staff be Covid-19 vaccinated or Religious and Medical Exemptions will be required.
