Position Title: Marketing and Leadership Development

Pay Rate: $16.37

Modality: Hybrid

*This is a PAID internship, open to all student across all majors. In order to be paid and earn academic credit students must enroll in the Business or Leadership Practicum course.

About the Woodbury Chamber Business Foundation:

The Woodbury Chamber Business Foundation is dedicated to leadership development, elevating educators and creating opportunities for students to explore career pathways. Our goal is to support local businesses by providing resources and opportunities that enhance leadership skills and build bridges between students and career pathways. We build better businesses by
developing leaders, supporting educators and creating career pathways for students.

Position Overview:

We are looking for an enthusiastic and creative intern to help launch the Woodbury Chamber Business Foundation. This position is an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in marketing, branding, and leadership development while contributing to a significant community-driven project. The intern will work closely with the president and communications manager to
create impactful marketing materials, design the foundation’s logo, and assist in the development of a leadership course for emerging business leaders.

Key Responsibilities:

Marketing & Branding:
>Assist in the creation of marketing materials (brochures, flyers, digital ads, social media content, etc.) to promote the Foundation and its initiatives.
>Help design and develop a professional logo and brand identity for the Woodbury Chamber Business Foundation.
>Support the creation and distribution of newsletters, email campaigns, and other promotional materials.
>Create “sell sheets” that describe the purpose and achieved results of the Foundation.

Leadership Course Development:
>Assist in the creation of a comprehensive leadership development course for local business owners, managers, and professionals.
>Research best practices for leadership training and development, specifically in a business context.
>Collaborate with internal stakeholders to outline course content and learning objectives.
>Help design course materials, presentations, and participant handouts.

General Support:
>Attend and participate in team meetings, brainstorming sessions, and project planning.
>Assist with various administrative and operational tasks as needed to support the smooth launch of the Foundation.
>Help with event planning for any launch-related activities or networking events.

Qualifications:
>Currently pursuing or recently graduated with a degree in Marketing, Business
Administration, Communications, or a related field.
>Strong written and verbal communication skills with an eye for detail.
>Proficiency in design tools such as Canva.
>Interest in leadership development, community engagement, and supporting small businesses/non-profit organizations.
>Self-starter with the ability to work independently as well as part of a collaborative team.
>Positive, professional attitude and willingness to learn.
