*This is a PAID internship, open to all student across all majors. In order to be paid and earn academic credit students must enroll in the Business or Leadership Practicum course.
About Wildcat Athletics
St. Catherine University has a strong athletics program, particularly within the Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (MIAC) at the NCAA Division III level. The university’s athletic teams, known as the Wildcats, compete in a variety of sports and have achieved significant success, including multiple conference championships and appearances in NCAA tournaments.
Internship Description
Athletic administration internship open to sophomore-senior status St. Catherine University students for credit only. Interns will work directly with Sports Information Director/Events Director, Lindsay Madryga. Students must have a degree focus in business, leadership, marketing, or communications. Interns must demonstrate the ability to work in a fast-paced environment, accept direction and be able to adapt to continuous changes.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
– Assist with regular and postseason athletic competition including in-game operations and social media.
– Produce photo albums and videos highlighting athletic accomplishments and access.
– Promote athletic department events and accomplishments.
– Develop video content to enhance the visual representation of the athletic department.
– Assist with coordination and organization of leadership events with various departments on campus.
– Assist with media operations at home events including game notes, recaps, features, etc.
– Work with Sports Information department to coordinate social media content and increase content archives for programs.
-Establish a marketing plan that includes Katie Cat (mascot) interaction through various platforms.
– Other tasks and assignments when available.
