This is a Full-Time position.

The Maintenance Assistant works in cooperation with the Maintenance Director for the overall maintenance of the facility by performing repairs and maintenance on equipment and ordering and requisitioning supplies, as needed. He/She performs regular scheduled maintenance checks and documents them as needed. The position assists in the efficient operation of all systems and equipment and recommends changes as necessary.

Duties:

Assists the Maintenance Director in Maintaining a Clean and Safe Environment for Residents, Staff and Visitors. Assists in the Efficient Operation of the Maintenance Department

Qualifications:

Two (2) years of experience in maintenance is desirable. Basic knowledge of general maintenance, such as: boilers, heating and air conditioning units, refrigerators and freezers, electrical wiring is preferred. Boiler license or willingness to attain license is recommended. Must possess good communication skills and willingness to cooperate and communicate with all staff and Department Directors. Must be able to perform essential functions of the position with or without reasonable accommodation. Must qualify for employment, after criminal background study, per guidelines of the Minnesota Department of Human Services.
