This position will float between Albert Lea, Austin, Fairmont, Faribault, Mankato, Owatonna, and Rochester. Applicant can be hired out of any location.
Mayo Clinic Health System Fountain Centers is currently recruiting for Licensed Alcohol and Drug Counselor positions for our Outpatient Treatment Department to provide 12 step counseling services to individuals, groups, and families while monitoring patients in pursuit of treatment program goals. Qualifications :
Bachelor degree in alcohol and drug studies or related field. Counselors must meet training, experience, and continuing education requirements necessary for the patient population for which services are provided. Counselors providing adolescent services and family counselors must meet training requirements or training will be provided. Must document two years of freedom from chemical abuse problems. Must be at least 21 years old.
Additional Qualifications :
Preferred: Master’s degree in counseling-related field.
Preferred: Treatment philosophy consistent with Fountain Centers philosophy. Knowledge of chemical dependency and 12 Step recovery philosophies. 1 to 3 years’ experience providing counseling services to patients preferred.
License or Certification :
Licensed Alcohol and Drug Counselor (LADC) or Licensed Social Worker (LSW) with current licensure with Minnesota Board of Social Work with additional alcohol and drug related state requirements. Must be able to complete and pass BLS and First aid training within 90 days of hire.

Schedule Details :
Full-time weekly work, hours / location varies as a Float Counselor works to cover PTO, call-ins, medical leaves, etc. This positions home location is based off where the applicant resides.
Weekend Schedule :
Minimal weekend coverage at this time.
