Multimedia Producer / Director

How would you like to work in an environment where you’re treated like family rather than a commodity? That’s our work environment here at Lakeland PBS. We’re looking for a full-time creative multimedia producer / director to join our production team. In this role, you will have a variety of production duties, including serving as back-up Technical Director for Lakeland News, coordinating and producing content for on-air, and collaborating on longer format arts, culture, and history based productions.
Hands-on experience in both live and post production as well as shooting, editing, computer and digital production skills for broadcast, social media and web. A degree in media or related field or equivalent experience is required. Mac and PC skills along with Final Cut, Premiere and Photoshop required. Ability to walk, lift, climb, push, pull, and carry at least 40 pounds along with a valid MN driver’s license required. Excellent vision, hearing, and physical dexterity is needed for this position.
Lakeland PBS has a long history of stability with an excellent board and staff. We have no debt, a solid cash position, and the start of an endowment fund. We have a strong community presence with an emphasis on local service, including our own local nightly news, local arts, culture and public affairs programing. We’re also a multimedia technology leader and have a strong online and social media presence and are broadcasting six digital channels throughout northern and central Minnesota.
Work hours are mainly weekdays, with some evenings and weekends. Salary range $35,000 to $45,000 annually. Benefits include generous PTO and paid holidays, company paid life and disability insurance and an additional 21% of salary for flex benefits including health, retirement, dependent care and flex plan options.
