Position Overview:
Dependable are looking to hire a live-in caregiver to reside and support our clients at Champlin site. In return, the live-in caregiver is eligible to receive a monthly reimbursement for rent as well as a food stipend. Additionally, the caregiver will provide direct support to the clients and will receive compensation as an employee of Dependable. Clients will have a 24 hour plan for support, for some of which the live in caregiver will be responsible to provide. At this time, the selected caregiver will have choice of what part they commit to. Ideal applicants will be interested in being a part of client’s life for the long haul.

We are looking for DSP’s interested in introducing young men to new and exciting activities in their surrounding community. The individuals like to be out and about in the community and taking advantage of all that their community has to offer. Activities may be going to a local park, bowling, dances, outdoor adventures and events, the splash pad/water park, karaoke, and other creative endeavors the young men may enjoy. We are looking for DSP’s to provide support and guidance to the young men to help them succeed living in their own home as roommates. A common shift will be providing verbal cues and reminders to encourage independent living to the best of their ability. DSP’s will need to role modeling how to complete light housekeeping duties and participate in cooking. The individual’s parents are actively involved in their care and lives.
Requirements:
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Ability to pass a Department of Human Services background check
- Must have a valid driver’s license, insurance, and reliable transportation
- Clear and effective communication skills
- Strength in flexibility and problem solving
- Applicants must have a passion for helping the individuals we support by helping them feel happy, successful, and safe in their lives.
- Previous experience as a Direct Support Professional (DSP) is welcomed, but not required
