RECRUITMENT/MARKETING INTERNSHIP

Community Blood Bank of NWPA and WNY is the exclusive blood supplier to 17 hospitals across Western New York and Northwestern Pennsylvania. Our mission is to connect donors to patients who are in need of life-sustaining blood products in the communities we serve.
Community Blood bank is looking for an intern in our Recruitment and Marketing Departments.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Develop content for social media platforms to encourage blood donation from various target groups.
- Assist with coordination of Special Event Days at CBB.
- Create marketing materials for blood drives and events; deliver when needed.
- Network with area businesses to establish partnerships for donor giveaways.
- Contribute to regular brainstorming sessions to determine ways to encourage blood donation in colleges.
- Manage registration tables at blood drives.
- Help coordinate blood drives on campus.
- Collecting quantitative and qualitative data from marketing campaigns and reporting to department leadership.
- Perform market research and analysis.
- Support the marketing and recruiting teams in daily administrative tasks.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE
- Current undergraduate pursuing a degree in Marketing, Communications, or related field.
- Experience with Microsoft Office programs.
- Experience with desktop publishing programs.
- Social media knowledge of platforms and marketing techniques.
OTHER SKILLS
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Experience with marketing activities and events.
- Outgoing, positive, friendly, and compassionate personality.
- Willing to share creative/out of the box ideas.
- Passion for the mission of Community Blood Bank.
- Willingness to learn.
- Ability to work independently as well as a on a team.
