School-Based Mental Health Therapist (Harmony Learning Center)
Position Summary:
This school based therapist position will serve the Harmony Learning Center a K-12, level 4 special education center within School District 622. This program serves a broad age range of students from 5-18 years old. This position is school based but also may require services to be delivered within the home or community environments of the children. Knowledge of child development, family systems and working within an education setting as well as expertise in providing individual, family and group therapy and assessment is necessary to the position. Considerable ability to plan and implement treatment strategies for children with Severe Emotional Disturbance is preferred. This position requires the use of a personal automobile for transportation and may require frequent use for traveling between office and clients. An active driver’s license and vehicle insurance per Canvas Health policy is required. Use of a cell phone is required for this position. Employee must be able to work flexible evening hours if necessary. This position requires working closely and being sensitive to relationships with local schools, County Social Services, and other mental health providers within the community.
Qualifications:
Minimum requirements of a Master’s Degree in Human Services related field. MN state license and eligibility to become a credentialed provider with insurance entities required (e.g., LP, LICSW, LMFT, LPCC) or license eligible may be considered.
