ACR has over 50 locations throughout the Twin Cities area of Minnesota. We have part-time and full-time positions available and flexible scheduling with a variety of shifts to choose from (Day, evening, night, weekend) as well as numerous post-graduation supervisor career opportunities including the Residential Supervisor (RS) position.
The RS manages and maintains all aspects of the group home. The RS’s responsibilities include supervising and scheduling the staff in the home (typically 10-20 people); managing the budget; scheduling and taking residents to medical and dental appointments; interacting with parents, medical, and county professionals; maintaining the house and grounds; working both direct care and doing administrative work (total of about 40-50 hours per week) and carrying an ACR cell phone; writing monthly and quarterly reports as needed; making sure staff and the house meet licensing requirements; and ensuring that all the shifts are covered.
This position allows you to have a flexible work schedule including the ability to work from home. Examples of tasks you would be completing as an RS:
– Creating a monthly work schedule for the Direct Care Professionals at your home
– Assisting in training of new staff
– Conducting staff meetings
– Ordering medications and supplies
– Delegating tasks as you see fit
– Working 2 shifts of direct care per week
– Working with social workers and healthcare professionals to create the best plan of care possible for each resident
– Assisting the residents in completing goals
– Various administrative tasks – etc.
Residential Supervisors have a FREE HOUSING option and comes with a very competitive salary which includes health care coverage, FREE Nice Healthcare, and a generous retirement plan.
The RS has the option to live at the ACR home they manage RENT FREE with utilities included. Live-in supervisors and their spouse/children (if applicable) live rent-free in an apartment on the upper or lower level of the home separate from the level the residents live on. Live-in apartments can comfortably fit a family and include 2-3 bedrooms, 1-2 bathrooms, kitchen/dining area, living room, laundry room, off street parking, and typically outdoor access to either the ground floor or deck. The value of living rent-free is HUGE and TAX FREE, with an estimated savings of over $24,000/yr. Starting salary at $45,000/year for the first 2 years and $48,250/year for third year and beyond, plus the previously mentioned free living expenses offered–a $24,000 value (rent and utilities) + $25/hour for additional direct care beyond requirement
RS/SRS/IRS Annual Base Salary increases as follows:
- RS Annual Base Salary: $45,000/year; after two full years this increases to $48,250
- Interim RS (IRS) Annual Base Salary: $53,000/year; after two full years this increases to $56, 250
