Mandy Hay
Career Assistant
Hi! My name is Mandy Hay, and I am an English and Communication Studies double major with a minor in Psychology. I am currently a sophomore at St. Kate’s. My hometown is Hutchinson, Minnesota, a small town in the country. My favorite things to do include writing, singing, reading, working out, and having fun with the people that I love. After college, I see myself working in publishing or media, and I hope to write a book of some kind eventually. I am looking forward to adopting a dog with my boyfriend Collin and traveling all around the world. Typically, you can find me writing articles for The Wheel, singing in the St. Catherine University Women’s Choir, working as an Orientation Leader, and ushering at the O’Shaughnessy theater. I also work as a lifeguard and swim instructor in the summer.
In the Career Development Center, I spend most of my time working at the front desk, checking students in for appointments, and taking calls. However, my most significant strengths are organization and written communication. Because of this, jobs such as creating calendars for the office and answering emails are my forte. I love working as a part of the Career Development team, and I am always willing and eager to answer any questions about our office and what we offer for students, whether I am sitting at the front desk or walking to class.
